Propeller-type wind direction and speed transmitter / Model number M9K-30-T
The responsiveness to wind speed fluctuations has dramatically improved, with a distance constant of 4.0m or less (compared to the conventional 8.0m).
- Magnetic pulses are used for wind speed detection, and a light encoder is used for wind direction detection. The signal extraction employs a brushless structure, which excels in resisting aging and the effects of ambient temperature. - The adoption of a brushless structure and the use of plastic for the propeller and body result in a low starting wind speed of 0.3 m/s, allowing measurements from a light breeze (0.4 m/s) to strong winds (70 m/s). - The responsiveness to wind speed fluctuations has dramatically improved, with a time constant of less than 4.0 m (compared to the conventional 8.0 m). - The transmitter outputs a linearized analog signal, allowing for direct connection to data loggers and recorders. - The main unit weighs 3.2 kg, making it compact and lightweight (compared to the conventional model at 5.9 kg), and the mounting method is a plug-in type, which allows for easy attachment and detachment from steel pipe supports at high altitudes. (The traditional flange mounting method is also available as an option.)
